Mozamil Afzal
Mozamil (“Moz”) Afzal joined EFG in 1994 and is the Global Chief Investment Officer for EFG. He is also the Chairman of EFG’s Global Asset Allocation Committee since 2010, and a member of the Global Business Committee of EFG International since 2024. In addition to his CIO responsibility, Moz is the CEO of EFG Asset Management and is responsible for EFG’s investment process globally. He has managed fixed income, multi-asset and global equity strategies, and he continues to manage key portfolios for EFG. Moz is a frequent contributor to Bloomberg, CNBC, plus various media publications, and has a regular podcast, “Beyond the Benchmark” that is available on various platforms. Prior to joining EFG, Moz worked in the Macro-Economic Policy Division at HM Treasury in the UK.
Moz has a BSc (Hons) Mathematics degree and an MBA from Aston University in the UK.
